Every October I get so excited to get crafty and make or buy a new Halloween costume (homemade ones are always my favorite).  I always try to make it look super awesome for an affordable price.  Last year I gathered dress up outfits and odds and ends of accessories from my closets and kids closets to create a “Peter Pan” themed family costume with Smeed, Peter Pan, 3 lost boys, Captain Hook, and Tinker Bell.  This year, although we’ve just moved to Texas (and still haven’t even unpacked everything) I borrowed a glue gun from an awesome new friend and decided to create a group costume for me and crew (my family).  My vision? Equal parts whimsy and wild. Without further ado, meet the cutest hunters on then planet and the most adorable bohemian deer and fawns you’ve ever seen!

We got most of our supplies from Walmart, and a few crafty items from Michaels for the deer antlers and ears.  We had no idea Walmart had such a large hunting section, providing us with all our hunter apparel and boots.  They also had the perfect leggings and thermal henley there for under $15 total.  Amazing!  And no this is not sponsored in any way by Walmart – it just ended up being a one stop shop for the entire family’s costumes!

Need more inspiration?  Take a look at how we made our own set of antlers, how to create a darling deer costume for your baby, or how to get your deer makeup just right.  Get your craft on this Halloween!

Cutest Halloween costumes I have ever seen. Wish to see more of those deer and hunters. Those photos can take one to a magical land.
